The County has approved our plan.
Here are the highlights:
- Installation location is NW corner of the shelter, by the retaining wall. See pic.
- The County will install a light on the NW corner of the shelter to serve as the light for the flags.
- Board meeting is Feb 7 and will vote on approving expenditures not to exceed $1,500 for the project.
- Once the budget is approved, we will place the order for the pole. Then meet with the County at the location to review project details and the light installation.
- After we have the pole and project supplies, we will form a work group of members for an installation day.
- If all goes well, we will dedicate the flagpole at our May social.
Other details like when flags are flown etc. will be worked out later.
